How We Got This Way |
|
Udder End Farm is found in the far
corner of northwest Colorado’s rugged high desert. This is excellent
country for Boer Goats. We have been raising goats since 1989. Beginning
with a small Alpine dairy, we contracted Boer Fever and now have a herd of
about 100 fullblood and purebred does and 8 fantastic bucks. Here at Udder End Farm we have spent quite a bit of time staring at the south end of a north-bound goat, for one reason or another. We are firm believers in pot roast. The emphasis here is on wide, heavily muscled meat-type animals. Kaptein and Tobias genetics set the foundation for our herd, and we line breed the offspring of these two old patriarchs extensively. Fortunately, they have many excellent sons and daughters, making a wide pool to draw from. We have also carefully infused strains of Oscar, Sumo, Rambo and EGGSFile through the mothers of our herd bucks, and are well pleased with the results. Eric is our Paterfamilia and Chairman of the Board. Jeanie is strawboss and head midwife. Emily and Rose are the indispensable advisors and labor force of the outfit. Welcome to Udder End Farm! |
